It is a good quality book for the intermediate player who wishes to quickly brush up on basic strategy, get understandable advice, or find one of the few books with meaningful Omaha strategy. For being a professional poker player, rather than a writer, Phil Hellmuth succeeds in bringing out his advice in a surprisingly pedagogical way, with first-class humor and clever language. It is a delight to read. To sum it up, it is highly suggested for all beginners, but also intermediate players looking for quick reference work including Omaha and Seven-Card Stud. The most disappointing thing is that it lacks tournament strategy, especially considering Hellmuth’s credentials.
